The New Theological School's vision is to train pastors who lack theological training and church planters who are called to begin a new ministry. Most of the pastors and church planters in North India lack a bachelor's or seminary level education. Churches are growing and multiplying, but pastors are under-trained. Theological education will aid in the founding of new churches and the growth of the churches through seminary graduates discipling others.
Our long-term goal is to send church planters to unreached people groups in North India. To see that vision fulfilled (see photo/slide in Gallery), and to better equip the pastors and church planters in theological and biblical understanding, God has called us to establish a school that will provide the necessary training. Currently we have 52 new church planters in training. We had more young people who wanted to attend the school, but we couldn't accommodate them due to our lack of accommodations. Our theological school desperately needs more classrooms and dormitories.
TIM Ministry Leaders in India with the help of an architectural team developed our college campus master plan. The master plan includes an academic building, boys' and girls' dorms, a chapel, an auditorium, and seminar and conference accommodation.
In the first phase, we are praying for the construction of the academic building, and a boys dormitory. The academic building costs $900K and has four levels. The first floor has faculty rooms, the second floor contains classrooms, the third floor contains the administrative office, and the fourth floor includes the library.
One of Transformation 1040's partners has already provided $225,000 to build an entire floor of the Academic building. Praise the Lord! We are forever grateful for their generosity. Therefore, we need an additional $675K to complete the Academic building. I know this construction project is a God-sized vision, but nothing is impossible with God. We are asking to God to provide for this need, which will impact the lives of millions in India.
