The New Theological School's vision is to train pastors who lack theological training and church planters who are called to begin a new ministry. Most of the pastors and church planters in North India lack a bachelor's or seminary level education. Churches are growing and multiplying, but pastors are under-trained. Theological education will aid in the founding of new churches and the growth of the churches through seminary graduates discipling others.
Our long-term goal is to send church planters to unreached people groups in North India. To see that vision fulfilled (see photo/slide in Gallery), and to better equip the pastors and church planters in theological and biblical understanding, God has called us to establish a school that will provide the necessary training. God has already graciously provided a facility in Kerala; however, it needs some remodeling and expansion.
Our immediate focus is to add a third level for classrooms and dormitories, and to remodel, which will cost approximately $250,000. An annual expense of $90,000 ($150 per pastor, per month) is required. This amount will cover all living and educational expenses for 50 pastors. The initial educational effort will take approximately three years. Additional two years of support will be required as each new church planter begins a new ministry.
